Cabernet
Castle Rock: Napa Valley- In addition to producing many motion pictures, Castle Rock produces a great Cabernet. Black cherry, ripe plum, a hint of oak unite to form a long, smooth finish. Rated G for a great ending.
Avalon: Sonoma County (Owners Selection)- Distinctly Napa Valley. This award winning Cabernet has it all. Complexity, Finesse, and a lingering finish. The Capitol of Catalina Island was named after this Cabernet.
Firestone: Central Coast- Like it's racy cousin, the Merlot, this selection is a great compliment to hearty pasta dishes, dark chocolate and any style wine glass.
Zinfandel
Robert Biale: Napa Valley (Owners Selection)- Enough said
Ravenswood: Sonoma County (Old Vine)- No Wimpy Wines is Ravenswood's credo. We agree. This Zinfandel is the Flagship of Ravenswood. Can a bottle of wine be a Flagship? This is one of our top sellers... get it.
Gnarly Head: Lodi (Old Vine)- Gnarly. Think about it. "Man that's one gnarly vine." This is an award winner from Lodi. The luscious combination of plum, vanilla and dark berry creates, well, a Gnarly glass of wine... or bottle. Enjoy "Man"
Merlot
Coppola: Geyeserville (Owners Selection)- Winner of Best Merlot in a supporting role, this Merlot has a lot of personality, just like it's namesake.
Firestone: Central Coast- When the rubber meets the road, it's Firestone. Ah, oh, wrong Firestone. Smooth and rich, all the way to the finish line.
Syrah
Edna Valley Vineyards: San Luis Obispo- A hint of Blueberry, Blackberry but no Chuck Berry. A hint of mocha aroma that will remind you of your favorite coffee..... well not really.
6th Sense: Central Valley- My 6th sense tells me... this is great Syrah. Smokey, cedar, toasty mesquite. Sounds like a BBQ. I hint of plum and gooseberry, the under-rated berry.
Pinot Noir
Five Rivers: Central Coast- Delicate, Soft, Aromatic. Really. A hint of Vanilla but no Cheery Garcia.
Castle Rock: Sonoma County- Inspired by the Community Park of which it shares a name, this Pinot has a long rich finish. Harmonious to the palate and the ear.
Chardonnay
Gnarly Head: Central Valley- Gnarley and wine in the same sentence? Tropical citrus and well-balanced. We weighed it. A hint of graham cracker, goes well with milk.... and popcorn. Sneak a bottle into the movie theater!
Enda Valley Vineyards: San Luis Obispo (Owners Selection)- Lush and crisp. Nice finish. Great anytime; afternoon, evening, but never at dusk. Good with roast pork, except we don't sell roast pork... sorry. This Chardonnay is a big seller!
Sauvignon Blanc
Kenwood: Sonoma County- Kenwood Vineyards' most popular wine. Cool, refreshing. We shower with it. Great with seafood and pasta and seafood pasta.
